Welcome to the “Welt der Gifte“ (World of Poisons)

Experience living poisonous & venomous animals up close and learn more about various poisons with the help of professional in-depth presentations and exponats.
As an unique combination of both museum and (Austria’s smallest) zoo, we offer a lively and varied insight into a world that is still unknown to many – the “world of poisons”.

Poisons of all kinds

Our private permanent exhibition presents exciting and interesting facts about poisons in everyday life, nature, medicine and world history.

The aim of the exhibition is to impart knowledge about various poisons to all age groups in a clear and entertaining way. During a one-hour guided tour, visitors can marvel at unknown and misunderstood poisonous plants, native poisonous mushrooms and exotic living toxic animals such as scorpions, toads and venomous snakes, including magnificient mambas, terrific taipans and variegated vipers.
